I want this amp in Red tolex. I want Rob from Valve tech to built me a Hayseed 30 like this.

I am trying to do it myself but I am not good with Photoshop.

I talked to Rob and he told me he cant do a top mount chasis in a head because he would have to redesign the chasis. He also told me he got he wants to stay in business so he cant do the Vox Diamond grill anymore. Apparently Vox told him to stop in a more demanding tone. He is a very nice guy. When I said that sucks refering to Vox he said. "Yeah..well I mean I understand, they did design the thing way back." Something about that response I can appreciate. He was just a cool guy and he didnt rush me off the phone at all.

    Yep.

    - Copy the original image and position as layer 2.

    - Image > Adjustments > Replace Color for the general color change.

    - Add a layer mask and set the palette to black/white.

    - Use the path (pen) tool to create paths for the main grill cloth areas; load as selections and fill with black allowing the grillcloth from the original image on layer 1 to show.

    - Zoom in and continue working on the mask with a small brush to paint away the finer areas like the second vox logo on the speaker cab,the gold piping, side screws, and anything else being tinged with the red color where you don't want it.

I created my version of this but have no where to upload. I suppose it doesn't matter anyway since the original plan has gone *kerplooey* but if you want a copy, PM me with your email address and I'll fwd it along tomorrow.

Vox is one of the worst when it comes to "Cease and Desist"...they're really stringent about their grillcloth use.
