I run a strat and a custom built humbucker guitar, through:

    Strobostomp
    Picture Wah
    Shannon Phaser
    Eternity
    Memory Lane
    Semaphore

    : into a Bogner Shiva 1x12 6L6 Combo & EX Cab

The Shiva nails a Marshall, classic rock sound, but I need something to go over the edge.

    Suggestions?

Heres a suggestion....Buy a MI audio Crunch Box.....100 bucks, cant go wrong.......Then test different pedals until you find one that sounds better, hence knocking the Crunch pedal of your board....its a pretty damn good sounding high gain pedal though, at least through a DR....

Simple... Tonebone Classic! Best high gain pedal made IMO. Smooth, tight. Doesn't scoop the mids, nice crisp high end (both things most pedals don't have). Extremely versitle EQ. :AOK

I like the clips Ive heard, and the pedal looks pretty tough to me. Im a rat tone lover, but I hate non-true bypass equipment. This thing looks like a hundred bucks, and suprisingly, that's all it costs!

How does this pedal compare to the Timmy? To a Direct Drive- Tubescreamer type pedal?

For the record, I hate pedals (GRIN) I guess I'm a tube troll.

That said, I'm loving the BJF pedals these days. They make me feel like I'm playing through an amp.

For gain I like the Dyna Red Distortion from BJF. Expensive, but great!

You're all wrong. Emma Reezafratzitz. The best out there. And I'm selling one, because, I'm a low-gain kinda wimp.
    PM me if interested.

Pretty sure he's tried the Reeza already. I'd say give the Crunch Box or Blackstar a shot.

+1 on the Hot British. Over-the-top marshall madness on a stick. errr....in a box. You get the picture. I like it more than my buddies Mesa Dual Rectifier.

And, for the record, I am NOT a metalhead

The best high gain pedal I've heard, by a long shot, is the Damage Control Demonizer. Not cheap, but worth it for a no-compromise high gain tone.

Go for the crunch box ! 100 bucks!!

Anything else at better quality in the high gain arena will cost ya.

Other high END high distortion choices could be

    BJF DRD
    Varidrive
Stephenson Stage Hog ( actual amp capable of any kind of gain with chord clarity) but PRICY
