    Ok so I got the cab from "RL in Fla" and it is awesome then I got some wood flitches and I have now ready two pieces.
    I made pictures of the mock ups, which one do you like better?
    The stripey one or the grainey one?

    Oh you mean where the knobs are, def the first one but I would match the top wood and do maple.

    Stripey. It doesn't distract from the faceplate at all. The grainy is kind of boring.

    The grainy one looks like Grammas' record player!

    Stripes, yep. Adds some nice character. Don't forget to do the wood burning before you finish it! ;) I did this a couple weeks back for my (ahem) clone after I bought my son a Dr. Seuss game for the pc.

    Well eh I don't know how to do wood burning ...
    I installed the flitch but eh haha cracked the top a bit :(
    Anyways it sounds killer and here is the final.

    RL's a great craftsman - he does incredible speaker cabs too. Real nice guy as well.

    Yep RL is awesome!
    The amp is standing on my reversed Maven Peal Zeeta.
    To the far end you can see on top my Sommatone Roaring 20s
    The Fender you see is a '78 Princeton Reverb Silverface quite an awesome amp, underneath that my favorite Fender based amp, Holland Brentwood 1x12.

    Yeah, I recognized Dave Z's machined steel top straps on the Zeeta!
    Is the Silverfaced Princeton stock?

    Fired it up again today and boy it's awesome!! The only shame .. you really can't play it soft .. got to turn this puppy up!
