Pickguard on an SE Singlecut,- Yes or No?

Picked up this SE Singlecut a few weeks ago cheap, and was mulling over putting a pickguard on it, in the style of an LP Special.

This is just a couple of mock-up picks using a spore piece of black three ply.

Just asking opinions here.

or without.....?

I like the look of "clean" wood more than plastic covered wood.

No pickguard for mine.

I vote no, unless you can do something custom/special. Like a curve around that knob might be neat.
