Whoa, that looks interesting! I wasn't a big fan of the Philosopher's Tone but the Attack Sustain portion in combination with it seems like a REALLY cool idea and ideal for ambient swelling stuff etc!

Funny, I've been seriously researching the Attack Sustain, was about to pull the trigger....now this....more to the point....why would I want one over the other (outside of price point)...?

being 'new' to the product line in general....I gotta tell ya, I've just been hit with the cold brick of 'product confusion'...is the Attack Sustain being 'deprecated'..?

I would imagine that having a compressor like the PT in combination with the AS is extremely useful for ambient swelling stuff, I'd guess.

Awesome! I'm REALLY digging it! It's cool to see that it allows you to swell once and keep playing, that's something that's really unique with volume envelopes!

certainly the Phil. King has some more whistles/bells...but...don't they 'do' the same thing? Hence, wondering if the AS was being deprecated...etc...time will tell I quess, most likely I'll just have to call them, next week and get the skinny...

I'm more than excited about this becoming available. I'm already going to order the new Envelope Phaser EP-2 tomorrow, and I've got to get one of these as well. I will eventually just have a whole Pigtronix board and a whole EHX board.

Just got off the phone with them...basically, the Philosopher King is a full ADSR, whereas the AS was just 'AS'.
And of significant importance (maybe to some)....the AS is being discontinued, even as per their website...http://pigtronix.com/products.html

the PK will be avail. in March...
