    Permissible observation is not cheating.

Yeah, really. If they can figure them out via observation, more power to them. Way different than utilizing electronic surveillance like the Pats.

    Big deal.

'utilizing electronic surveillance' is legal and widely practiced.

Seems like no fans outside of New England has ever been able to accurately articulate what the Patriots actually did that broke NFL rules in 'Spygate'. This is why your h8 of us evokes no more than disdain from us.

I'm admittedly far from an expert on such things, but I call BS on that ... not on that it's still probably practiced by some, but on its legality.

I couldn't find your quote about utilizing electronic surveillance anywhere.

Whoopee, no 30th overall pick. Now that HGH-boy is gone, the AFC is a foregone conclusion.
Like i said in my prior post ...

"videotaping of any type, including but not limited to taping of an opponent's offensive or defensive signals, is prohibited on the sidelines, in the coaches' booth, in the locker room, or at any other locations accessible to club staff members during the game."

Of course, Bill "misinterpreted" that memo, lol.

Eta: I'm referring to Bill B, not Bill C of course.

Doesn't really seem like cheating. I mean if you see that every time the defensive coordinator raises his hand the defense then runs a blitz and you change your play accordingly, so be it.

Not sure what you're referring to. I know definitively that 'Spygate' type video recording of other team's actions from unauthorized locations is strictly prohibited. That's what I was referring to. I'll even acknowledge that the Pats were likely not the first to do it, but they should have presumably been the last.

Does it still happen? Maybe, but Cowher's statements were clearly referring to other means of observation. And BTW ... that Cowher interview is just a couple of years old.

BTW, not to derail this thread, but I happen to be watching the draft ...

I think I know the answer, but why does Goodell get boo'd every time he steps up to the podium? Just because he's Goodell, right? I mean, I don't love the guy either, but I didn't realize the animosity was so blatant and widespread.

Anyway, back to the cheaters! (whoever they may be ;))

    The Steelers never deflated footballs!

    Also as a side note,
I was in the sporting goods store the other day, and noticed a lot of the footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, and even a baseball
had been deflated. Found out, Tom Brady had just left the store.

Spygate was not about what was being taped, but from where it was being taped.
