So, guys I finally did it and placed an order for a Swan. I am going for a Acacia top which is Tasmanian Blackwood and a first cousin to Koa (Jim told me) and a swamp ash back. I am also getting a maple neck/board which has personally been my dream for a Swan. And I just thought I would share it with you. Here is a pic of the body:-

Congrats. I was very impressed with Jim's work when I met him last January.

drummondrs, welcome to the family and thanks to the rest for your kind remarks. This was the first piece of acacia that we'd ever used and I'm really pleased with the results. I'm on the hunt for some more now, but at least for the time being, this is truly a one of a kind body.

    Wow!
Excellent choices, my friend. And a great luthier choice too! Jim's work is stellar. I'm sure you'll dig it.

    Mmmmm...maple board...yummy.

I know you'll love it. I would have bought one if not for the slim neck, but thats personal preference....maybe one day, Jim will build a fatback neck version...:)

So once you get the Swan, what guitars will you be selling seeing you won't be playing them anymore. :D

Nice looking top that I'm sure will be on a great guitar.
