LOL - Stir that pot Sauceman my brother!
Totally. I mean he’s poking a very specific group.

-TGP members
-Adamant about Fender decals on parts-casters
-Despises Gibson for protecting their copyrights.

Aside from clearing up his confusion, *I* would like to know who that is.

I bought a new guitar this weekend, a EBMM Stingray RS with baked maple neck.

I didn't even bother playing a gibson. The buy authentic vid made me laugh every time I saw a LP. It still puts a smile on my face. Gibbson can lick my sac.

I wanna like Gibson, I really honestly do & I love the classic tones. But,,,, they seem to me to want to monopolize the market. In 1992, Brian Moore came out with the MC-1. It had this new cool bridge that went from a trem to a stoptail. Trev Wilkinson was the maker & inventor. Nothing was on the market at the time like it. A few other makes put the trem on their guitars. A few years before, Gibson bought Steinberger & with it, all it's patents. They did nothing with it except try to incorporate the trem designs into their models & failed miserably. Steinberger also died because they didn't promote them. Around 93 came the lawsuits directed at Wilkinson & that cool trem was no more. Trev should have fought, because his design looked nothing like the Steinberger. What Gibson product, outside of a Bigsby, or the occasional OFR, comes with a trem? Is someone worried about losing market share over a guitar that could possibly get a "Gibson style" tone with a Strat style trem? All they need to do, is just make a better product, have better QC, & CS. PRS kicks their arse, because PRS makes a better product. Gibson has the product that would sell,,, if they'd just raise their bar.

Anyone remember these?

Retailers or anyone in the know, what impacts, if any, are you seeing to sales trends following the "play authentic" situation? Are Gibson sales up or down? How about sales for PRS, Dean, Collings, etc.?
I think a lot of people are turned off by Gibson from what I read hear and what I hear in the industry. I don't know how their sales are but sales this month for some of the "other brands" have been seeing an uptick in my personal experience.

Because I made typographical errors? That's all you've got?
No, because they got an invitation to perform a sexual act on you. That’s a good thing, isn’t it?

If that’s what the brand you didn’t buy gets, what’s in store for get brand you chose?!

My predictions, based on exhaustive TGP research:

The above references an opinion and is for information purposes only. It is not intended to be investment advice. Seek a duly licensed professional for investment advice.
LOL - looks like one of my penny stock charts!

Saw the video. Didn't think the video was offensive at all but I come from a different era. Being kicked in the teeth was considered offensive. Agnesi or whatever his name is telling folks to experience the real deal instead of buying a knock off is fine with me. But in the end, buy whatever you want. I prefer Gibson, but that die was cast for me in the 70's. For you young bucks it might be something else.

Hell, for a time I only played RG550's! you know, hair metal era and all.
I eventually came back home.
Cheers.
IME, a lot of Boomers and older generations think that younger generations are "offended" by things like this. I'm not "offended" by the video at all. I just think it was stupid.

IMO I doubt anybody who was really considering buying a Gibson gave a rats a** about that video. Most people are not aware of the video unless your a guitar forum member or You tube watcher.

Ime it’s the boomers that get most offended by things.
