played a new model les paul at GC today. . .

but I cant find ANYTHING online about it, I should've taken pictures. . .

beautiful flat flame top, semi hollow, (had an f hole) zebra pups, played AMAZING and sounded great.

any links? gc website doesn't have it, gibsons site (of course) doesn't have it, nor do any of the online music retailers (musiciancs friend, sweetwater)

also why doesn't the Gibson site have the es 139? that was the guitar I went in to try out.

I played one too and loved it. It really sounded nice, had a nice bite to it. It was very light and the pull pots worked great. The guy I talked to there gave me a price of $1089... Hard to resist.

Because they were in our weekly inventory shipment before the mailer went out, they still aren't on our website as far as I know, and there wasn't any indication that one of the boxes contained a new guitar until we opened them.

I played one at my local GC last week. It was light, played well and sounded good. I don't buy new guitars but might consider it if l ran across a used one.

Thank god that thing has a 50's neck ! I almost $hit myself when i saw this, and i need another guit like a hole in the head. But a 50's neck will keep me in line....hate them. LOVE love love the dot tho. (don't like blocks or trapazoids) Put binding on that neck and give it a 60's taper and i'd be doomed. Likely have one by today if the local GC have one. Whew....

Its a 60's neck or at least its no where near as fat as my SG and to my ears a bit fatter with more overtones.
