I was looking at some guitars and came across one of the new Fender Eric Johnson Strats with the bound rosewood board. This one was some sort of turquoise and it was really stunning to look at--better in person than the pics I've seen. Anyway, yes, it was very expensive. Close to $2K after taxes, I think--too much for me right now. But for a Les Paul player this is a very easy neck to get used to. Very nice! It was a little sticky on the back like some people say about the EJs, but the guitar just played great. Between the Vintage Hot Rods, Mayer and EJs I really like the Strats Fender is putting out lately.
