Played one of the new ampeg Jet J-20s

    WOW what a great little amp. I guess it is handwired and looked like it has that jensen alnico in it. I couldn't get a bad sound out of the amp regardless of where the controls were.

    Amazing trem.

    This one is on my short list for sure.

    About like a princeton reverb. There is some but I think that it really does that kinda tweed meets blackface tone really well.

    If you are looking for cleans I'd do something else. This has a really swampy feel with some great chime thrown in for extra measure.

    Looks like a cool grab and go, especially at 25 lbs! What is the $$ on these?

    Ampeg just sent a Jet J-20 one of my students (he's Duff McKagan's lead guitar player in his solo band, Loaded). He brought it to his last lesson, and all I can say is WOW!!! That tremolo is just spectacular. I'm not sure on the cost, but whatever it is, it's worth it!!!

    Yes but the speaker is better than what came stock in the 60s and the grill cloth isn't dirty. ;)
