Mark always walks over to me at some point of the night and grabs my headstock as I'm playing and shakes it. I tell him "one day, you're gonna break my guitar!". It's all fun, we laugh and have fun all the time. (The guy is in Twisted Sister with the nickname "Animal", so the "shake" isn't that subtle). TONIGHT, a will have the neck off a Squier '51 hidden next to my amp. It's on the guitar now, what I'll do is clip the strings at the bridge (tape them down first), and remove the neck. This way, I'll have a Tele shaped headstock with a Maple board (same as my Esquire) with tuners and strings to hold in the air and shake with a SHOCKED look on my face. I'll move the Esquire behind me so he can't see it. My g/f, who built the Esquire, and I have been planning this for 6 months. Tonight's gig is the perfect setting. Well worth the cost of a set of strings. Pictures WILL be taken and posted here tomorrow.
