Mark always walks over to me at some point of the night and grabs my headstock as I'm playing and shakes it.
I tell him "one day, you're gonna break my guitar!".
It's all fun, we laugh and have fun all the time. (The guy is in Twisted Sister with the nickname "Animal", so the "shake" isn't that subtle).

TONIGHT, a will have the neck off a Squier '51 hidden next to my amp.
It's on the guitar now, what I'll do is clip the strings at the bridge (tape them down first), and remove the neck.
This way, I'll have a Tele shaped headstock with a Maple board (same as my Esquire) with tuners and strings to hold in the air and shake with a SHOCKED look on my face. I'll move the Esquire behind me so he can't see it.

My g/f, who built the Esquire, and I have been planning this for 6 months. Tonight's gig is the perfect setting.
Well worth the cost of a set of strings.

Pictures WILL be taken and posted here tomorrow.

I'd love to see video of this too.

Another good prank to try if you guys use cups to drink while playing is to remove the liquid from the cup and add white vinegar (you can use food coloring if the original liquid is colored. Someone played this trick on my cousin. He took a big gulp of the vinegar before realizing something was wrong.

We skipped it. Mark had a very bad head cold and struggled through most of the gig (trooper that he is). We felt it would be lost on him tonight.
    We'll do it soon.

Good job letting your buddy off the hook when he's not feeling well. Still looking forward to reports of a successful prank though.

Pretty sure I saw Mark playing Bass with Ricky Medlock years ago. I assume this is the Joe Rock gig? Tell joe Ralph Messana says hello. I gew up 2 blocks from Joe and after all these years connected on FB through a mutual friend.

I don't get back to LI much but will try and keep an eye on Joe to see if I can make it to a gig the next time I am on LI.

Yes, Laura sang a set with us. Nice Girl.
We always have someone singing or playing something as Joe and Mark know just about everyone around here and I know the rest.
Mark was in Blackfoot with Medlocke.

Wouldn't it be easier to shoot him?

Grabs your guitar and shakes it around? Cut him at least.
