All of my amps (Tone King Imperial, various practice amps) are buzzing with single coils and humbuckers. They weren't buzzing yesterday. What should I do to stop it? Has my house become haunted? Please help!

If every amp is doing it across multiple instruments... check your power source. A plug in tester is only a few bucks and will tell you if the outlets are wired properly and have a functioning ground.

I had a socket go weird a few years ago that made a normally silent rig very noisy. It still tested good using a plug-in tester thingy. I swapped it out in a fit of "Hmm... maybe this'll do it" and it worked.

Edit to add: Cables? Using the same one? Try a different one.

Through a pedal board in each case, or direct in?
In other words, could the problem be in your pedal(s)?

If it is humming and buzzing direct in, in each case, with each amp,
take your guitar and amp to a neighbour's home and plug in.

I'm guessing both your home AND their home will not be haunted.

The electronics panel in your HVAC variable speed fan might be going bad. Unplug the panel if you can or switch off the breaker and see if it the noise goes away.
    Or not...

A lot of variables but must rule out the number one. Did you feed the Mogwai after midnight?

Do you have a dimmer nearby?

I figured it out. There's this one light in our house that when turned on, the amps buzz, even my 9 volt battery powered altoids can amp.
