Hi everyone, ive been playing for years, however I feel my Jedi level is still not up to par. Can you all please help me setup my pedal board (wiring wise)?

I want to be able to connect these pedals together so that I have the best possible clear tone. Also, i'm a bit confused with the whole buffers thing. I know that some of these pedals have built in buffers, however do you all think I should by separate buffer pedals to add in between certain pedals? I just want the most natural tone. I was looking into this1ismyne buffer pedals.

My current setup is an LTD EC1000 into the pedal board and into an AC15 C1

Okay, I'll take a stab at it. I would recommend the typical standard order, but that will just be a starting point.

    Guitar >
    Tuner
    Fuzz
    Timmy
    OCD
    Phase/chorus or chorus/phase
    volume pedal
    Carbon Copy
    Boss Digital delay
    >amp

I suggest the digital delay after the Carbon Copy last only because it is buffered which is nice to be last in your chain.

I don't use fuzz, so there might be others to suggest otherwise.

Timmy and OCD could swap, but I would start out this way.

Volume near the end so that your fuzz and dirt get full signal from your guitar.

Good luck. I'm sure that others will chime in.

There's no right or wrong way. Experiment.....that's half the fun anyway. Avoid this1smine.

    Personally, I would do:

    Guitar
    Tuner
    Fuzz
    OCD
    Timmy
    Volume
    Chorus
    Phase
    Carbon Copy
    DD7
    Amp

I'm gonna be the weird guy who says to put the tuner after drive effects but before time based. That way if you need to tune silently or use it as a stutter box and still have a drive on, you won't get the signal noise. But before time based would allow you to tune while a section is trailing off.

I'd do this except put the fuzz between the two ODs so you can hit it w a boost if you want. I'd go Timmy - fuzz - OCD. Set the Timmy above unity and low gain and it can EQ the fuzz. Kick it on with the fuzz when you want to rock out.

This except would put the phaser before the drives.

I just ordered the mini buffer from him. Why do you say avoid? I've read nothing but praise for the buffer.

Lastly, i dont quite fully understand one thing about buffers: if there are already a buffered pedal or the chain, will it matter if I add a standalone buffer at the beginning of the chain? Will the other buffers still affect the overall tone?

I used to put mine first... But always got signal noise. Now i put tuner after drives and its dead silent.
