I just set up my board last night. what I ended up doing with my Vox wah was double layer the velcro. It doesn't look the best and it makes the mount a bit spongy but it worked.

I'm interested in hearing other peoples way of getting around this problem

Don't be stupid like me and not realize the stock screws were going to be too long...I snapped a screw off by not paying attention, now my wah plate is only on with 3 screws and the broken screw hole looks like crap...good thing I'm not selling it any time in the near future.

The stomping ground plate also prevents scratching up your pedal board (or floor) with the screw heads... Doesn't sound like too much to me.

ok I hear ya, it wasnt my intention to address your suggestion (english is not my primary language :Spank) but I'm confident that my moquette is soft enough for screws heads;)... but its hard to find the right screws!!!!

Same here-
Removed baseplate from RMC3, flipped it over and applied velcro to what's normally the inside surface, removed rubber feet, reinstalled baseplate with velcro facing out, dremeled screws down to where they only have a couple of threads, screwed 'em in. Works like a champ

You could always just take one of the screws down to the hardware store. How long would it take?

Diameter/thread spacing, yes, but I think part of the OP's problem is that the original screws are too long once the rubber feet are removed. Hence the dremeling.

Let me be clearer....just take one of the screws down to the hardware store, and get shorter ones that fit with the feet off. If you're worried about scratching the bottom of the wah or mussing it with velcro, then just flip the wah plate and use the inside. :BEER

John, I've done that in more than a dozen stores but as I've said I live in Europe and no one here has a thread as the one of these screws so I'm asking the US specs so that I can hunt some online...

no one can help???

I've always used 6/32 screws to mount the plate without the feet. Not sure if they are all the same or not.
