I have a Muddy Waters Tele that I bought as a platform to make a custom Telecaster. Basically, the only thing I'm keeping is the neck (electronics, bridge and tuners have already been replaced). So I'm going to buy a body and finish it myself or have it finish. I'm trying to decide between slightly-darker-than-natural, black, olympic white, blonde, butterscotch blonde, or . . . something else. So if you have a pic of your Tele with a rosewood fingerboard handy, please post it.

    Thanks -- keep 'em coming.

Aside: what color do you think this Tele is (bonus points if you recognize one of the best alternative rock guitarists):

One negative about black, I already have a black Rickenbacker and, if I ever get around to building a strat, it will definitely be a EC Blackie clone (black body, white pickguard, maple neck).

Not a Fender, but a great guitar just purchased from Ungarn... I LOVE the neck on this thing and I am (or used to be) and all maple, all the time guy. I can't put this one down now

Mine's a Y2K White Blonde Fat Tele. It's more white than blonde - you have to look closely in bright light to see the ash wood grain.
    Great rock guitar, BTW!

Only pic I could get of it.

Just picked it up last Thursday, I'm enjoying it very much.
