I have a Princeton RI, its pretty good, im not crazy about it for some reason. Its a bit underwhelming at times, hard to pin point why. I wouldnt be opposed to another Fender, i love the cleans and its pedal taking ability. I wouldnt want an amp without trem and reverb so it has to have both.

Since you dig the PRI maybe look at another Fender with a bit more power. Sometimes the low wattage stuff is a bit thin compared to the higher wattage models.

Check out Swart amplifiers.

A lot depends on what you want to spend.

Rambler is probably exactly what i want. I played a Mercury last year i thought it was fantastic.
Do you guys know anything about Tone King amps? there is a store near my house that has a continental that looks right up my alley too.

There are a bunch of makers doing it right nowadays: Marsh Amps, Gomez, etc.

Fender Vibro King or the now-discontinued Dual Professional from that same era. I love the sound of both of these amps and I am not a fan of Fender amps from the last 20 or so years generally speaking.

If you want to stay economical, I'd go with a Blackface Bassman and spring reverb pedal and trem pedal and you'll nail it for a fraction of the cost that a boutique amp will run you.

But if you want true rockabilly just go with the Setzer setup and with Blonde Bassman and Space Echo, and you just need a pompadour and leopard print shoes

My Princeton Reverb sounded a little small to my ears with a ten inch speaker until I made a new baffle and stuck a Celestion G12h in her. I do prefer a Deluxe Reverb over a Princeton Reverb. A Deluxe Reverbs Cab is a little bigger and gives a even bigger sound but sometimes a Princeton reverb with a 12" is the perfect amp for some clubs.

Best to have both if possible and you can use one as a backup. Sometimes I gig them both. Now thats a killer sound.

Give that a try or go for a Deluxe Reverb or a Super Reverb. They all nail the Surf Rockabilly sound IMO. Also try a little slap-back echo and or slap-back delay in addition to some Reverb and or Tremolo.
