Hope this isn't a hijack. Here's my plexi as well. 61 SG RI straight into a '69 Super Lead clone, attenuated 8 dB on the Hot Plate and into a Marshall 4x12 with G12T-75s.

Signal chain was my 54 Masterbuilt Strat, into my LovePedal Eternity, into my Plexi (Metro PTP board and Metro Transformers).

    Is this live band stuff?

way too much bass, too dry, guitar needs more upfrontedness- listen to AC/DC

I really liked it, and yes - what mic?
It was darker sounding in tone than I expected, but I prefer that to brighter sounding stuff.

I have next to no experience with recording and the levels and mix aren't great.

    Yes, way too much bass.

Mic was a SM57, speaker was Celestion Greenback.

I used the pedal primarily as a clean boost...the level was all the way up and the gain was all the way off, tone was between 11:00 and 12:00 o'clock..

Babylon Falls, I enjoyed that. I like those particular Marshall type tones.
