I've seen a Youtube where they compare a Plimsoul to a Blue Note. Anybody own both? Thoughts?

Owned a Plimsoul v2 but eventually sold it and got the Blue Note. I really liked the Plimsoul at 12volts for a Zen-esque kinda growl, but only used it for bridge pick-up stuff...too congested for neck position. The Blue Note seems to cover similar ground, but with more flexibility, transparency and as well it nails it for neck position bluesy flavors.

I own a Plimsoul and like the dynamic range and smokey (midrange) it has. The Blue Note is supposedly a flatter EQ, i.e. transparent sound. I haven't played a Blue Note but that's what is seems to me would be a part of the difference.

've owned both. Don't consider them to be in the same universe. The Blue Note is awesome, low gain, transparent but adds punch.

Plimsoul, mid to high gain, very oppressive EQ in that it imparted it's own tonality, namely a lot of low end.

    Hard to compare really IMO.
