Just rewarked some older patches to utilize the latest 1.31 update. A semi Cover of an old floyd (Fearless) using the pod HD 300 for everything including bass using an octave (need work but no time currently for second takes). Floyd fans please don't feel insulted for the liberties I took in my interpretation.

The guitar is a strat with Kinman woodstock

Sorry for the sloppiness and the ubrupt ending, no editing or mastering was done to closely reflect the actual sound of the HD300. Just a 3 guitar tracks to share my excitment and Joy I'm getting out of my HD300. Next time I'll spend more time locking in the groove.

sounds REALLY good -- i like hearing some of the cleaner tones from the HD series - a lot of the HD demos have been dirty high gain stuff - which i love too -- but demos like this one, and Jim Soloways demos are beautiful!

Thanks Bobby and huutevar! The amp for the rythm (finger picking part) was Hiwat with 4x12 green back cab with 421 mic. The lead was Pre model of the JTM 45. The key to the lead sound was finding an effect that's somewhere between and phaser/univibe mixture but never worked with that. I stummbeld on the effect as I was playing with the "Frequency Shifter" . If you put rate somewhere between 1 and maybe upto 8 you will get this beautiful swirling effect that has more depth than the phasers/univibe.
At any rate since I have the 300 and I know most have the 500, I'll just post the two patches as an images.

As mentioned in the previous post, the Fequency shifter in the HD series is beautiful effect, but the key is to keep the Rate anywhere between 1 and 9 maybe but most importantly the MIX has to be Somehwere in the middle. AT Mix set to full you want get an effect. I'm taking a few days off for the holiday so I reserved some of them for my home studio time and I'm having a blast. I just made a patch for the shine on your crazy diamonds clean guitar bridge that really shows the quality of the HD series. At this point I'm more than thrilled with my $300 dollars purchase.
Any way here's a clip and let me know if you guys think it close to the gilmour live sound (for that specific snippet of sound).
The clean bridge in "Shine on your crazy diamonds". this is my recelloction of the live sound when I saw pink floyd in concert . I gave it a few attempts in my current gear at the time, but didn't think I was close. I feel that this HD sound is pretty close to what I heard then and I love it. I hope you guys enjoy the patch (it's almost a one trick pony, but what do you know...)

My pleasure!

I know what you mean, even my HD300 has more effects than I have the time to go through but somehow I know sometimes in the future I will start complaining about a feature or something missing.
"frequecny shifter"???? interesting - i have NOT tried that yet -- thanks for the tip :YinYang

you KNOW you're gonna want the HD500 - but it sure sounds like you are getting a good grip on the 300 for sure!
