My 1985 shell pink ESP. Started life as an ESP Series 400 strat. John Suhr over at Rudy's dropped in the Floyd. The the neck was swapped for an ESP Jackson style neck over at 48th Street Custom guitars in '87 or '88. I miss that shop. The pups were from a "new" guy Tom Anderson. They were put in at the same as the neck.

I've got a 1989 Ibanez RG550 in Desert Yellow that I bought in 1991 - it's kinda dinged up now but it's my fav guitar and I play it nearly every day.

(I'd post pics but I'm at work)

I had one of those. It's the one Ibanez I regret selling.

That is sweet. I think of Marty Friedman when I see this body shape. I do have some of the Cacophony CDs burried somewhere.

You're right -- they USED to be cheap. Not so much any more.

I'm mostly using Floyds these days, but have quite a few Kahler guitars and really like them. That white V220 is an example. They hold up well.

You can still get the tilted pointy headstock (they brought it back) on a new guitar:

You should name the V220 on the left Patrick.

I've always like the look of the V220 but if Carvin made a reverse body V220 I'd be really drawn to it. A shorter peak on the bass side horn would put the strap button in a spot where it balances better for me.

    Nice! Someone else likes these!!:rotflmao

I think the pointy Guilds are cool, esp. the X-79 and X-80. That one looks just like my current one. I've had 4 of them over the years-
