Was East Bay Ray using a Roland Space Echo? Anyone know the gear specifics on those early recordings?

edit: a solid-state Echoplex (“I know a lot of guys think the tube ones sound better, but I feel the Echoplex’s warm sound comes from the tape, not the unit’s circuitry.”), and a Fender Super Reverb.

I saw them live a couple of time in the 80's....

    F'N BRILLIANT !!!

I think live he was using a solid state echoplex he had on top of his marshall.

It is an echoplex of some sort. He used it quite a bit on those early tracks.
