Polishing guitars?

I don't think I've ever polished my guitars. I oil the fingerboard of my ESP every now and then but that's it. Of course I wipe them down with an old undershirt but I never use polish. Am I missing out?

I don't do it either. Poly finishes stay pretty bright and I can't see a polishing making much difference; nitro finishes can react with polishes and frankly if you're looking for a bright shiny finish nitro probably isn't for you.

I'm wondering if it will just make the neck feel better? Or would there be any buildup from the polish?

blow off any dust and use a micro fiber cloth, just like for glasses. If I really care about a guitar, polish never goes on it.

I rarely, if ever, polish my guitars. I will occasionally use virtuoso cleaner to keep the nitro looking shiny and remove residue buildup.

Thanks all. I used to work in a guitar store years ago and that's where I developed my aversion to polish lol.
