voted gold top but my write in would be a dirty lemon burst.
It doesn't need to be a burst, but the grain needs to show.
I'd rather have transparent purple than paint.
No-burst (Like the Ronson pic above)
But...ain't nothing wrong with goldtop.
Women can be so distracting...
A GT is awesome and have done plenty of them but a dirty lemon plaintop is slightly more appealing to me at least.
Dirty Lemon or the Yellow Corsa above. Both show the wood grain but are similar shade to a gold top.
That is so cool with the blue top
Lemonburst is a great compromise between goldtop & some kind of burst - and they look seriously cool while showing off the top flame or no flame. Think Peter Green's LP
I voted burst. I am a sucker for a good burst.
Burst. I'm going to sell my 2017 Classic Gold Top.
Goin' with Gold because Dickie!
The correct answer is always Goldtop.
Wow.. it looks like Gold Top is in the lead so far.
Gold top or solid colour (I like white with all black hardware/binding). I detest most bursts.
I just painted these - both are mahogany though, so a little different. The red one looks like the back of your pelham blue when in light, this picture is in a shadow. I think "Lucy" style cherry les pauls are very cool and less common
Being a 1994 LP Classic owner, I agree great bones! For a while now, I have wanted to get one of the black classics with gold hardware from that era and do a pickup swap (ceramics are too hot for me) and replace those snot green inlays with an abalone inlay. That or an Ebony standard w/cream guard etc. really appeals to me. Really NOT needing another Lester though...
Best of luck with the resto!
My early 90s LPCP:
I love the look of this one (not mine).
I have a goldtop, tho.
I like those LP Classics and wanted one pretty badly back then. My friend has a Cherry Sunburst Classic but the burst is just a little too much on that model, I like the lightburst better.
I like the flecks in the top, so I would go with a highly faded iced tea type of burst.
