This along with my guitar manufacturing nations poll can further hone our collective opinions on guitars..

This is for electrics...sorry only had 10 spots for entries...please reply to this thread with your write-in votes..Mass manufacturers only not boutique..

You've actually only given the choice for 4 manufacturers. No PRS or Grosh or Suhr? sorry, but not much of a poll to vote on...

Only 10 poll options allowed. We all know there are good and bad guitars from any maker...if Ibanez or any other brand makes lots of great guitars they should get a vote, even if they also make a few duds..

Why do our opinions need "honing," and how will these irrevocably flawed polls do it?

Then why give Fender 4 slots and Gretsch 2?

Either split them all out appropriately, or don't split them out at all...

Bc Gibson, fender and gretsch are the big 3 of iconic electric guitar brands..and all gibsons are Mia not as much need to split..

So you wanted to do a poll of iconic brands and couldn't think of PRS (NOT 'boutique') or Rickenbacker, so you decided to throw Ibanez and Godin in there to fill out the 10 slots?

In 2012, PRS made 13,000 guitars. That's hardly boutique.

Ya but how many did they actually sell..

I mean the ones you see in the classifieds here are like 2-10 grand, not that many for sale, and very few buyers of the ones that are for sale..

I think it's boutique or irrelevant. Godin is included because everyone knows its Canadian and I'm trying to correlate and vindicate opinions from the manufacturing nations poll..

I recall a Forbes article about PRS a while back and they quoted a $43.5 million revenue year for PRS in 2012. Of course that number is dwarfed by generated revenues of Fender and Gibson but I certainly wouldn't consider those to be "boutique" numbers and hardly irrelevant.

Nobody would. At least not if they are being objective.
