Can anyone recommend a good portable digital recorder please. I want to use it when I go for lessons.
    Thanks

I just bought the Olympus DS-30 since I already can record in 24/96 at the studio.

I wanted a sketchpad that I could carry in my pocket. The DS-30 is the size of a candy bar and the H2 a cassette Walkman.

The DS-30 records in WMV, and its audio quality is like a 128kbps MP3. A far cry from 24/96 but you can hear all the notes.

It's super-easy to use. The Olympus DS-2 is a weapon of choice among songwriters.

    Here's a comparison for speech:

I figure the DS-30 will keep me happy until there's a similarly tiny and solid $100 machine that does 24/96 WAVs.
