You may laugh but I think the Avatar cube 112 is really great sounding cab. Not so much 'ported' but to me it sounds fairly close. I don't know if Avatar makes them any longer, but worth a look. For more high priced I think the Bogner and Mesa ported cabs are great too.

Okej thanks. I just don`t know if it is better to go ported or just regular 112 with open back regarding 112 cabs with Ev12L?

Please feel free to write.

I used one of the Theile ported Mesa cabs like that with an EVM 12L for quite a while and it is a nice portable cab. But there was always a pronounced "thumpiness" to the low end that I never loved. The cab is also very directional (which can be good or bad, depending what you are after). I bought a 1x12 Forte 3D cab about a year ago and like it quite a bit better with the same EV. It does not have the thump but instead a more even low end response, and the side port design provides a little more spread to the sound. To me it is really the perfect balance between an open and closed back cab for the EV, and Dave's construction is top notch.

Closed back cabs to me always sound more directional, which only makes sense.

Only ported cab I've had was a Bogner Cube. Built like a tank, and if I was going for a quad cab sound, the Cube 1x12 gets surprisingly close. But I'm not a "thumpy" sound kinda guy, so I went back to open and half-back cabs, preferring the airy and opened up sound for what I play.

I really like the Suhr 112 ported cabs. Not sure how it would sound with an EV, but it's a great sounding rock solid cab with the stock WGS Vet-30

The Egnater oversized 1x12" that was made by Mojotone was/is a fantastic ported cab. Huge low end for a 1x12".

Unfortunately, they don't make them anymore - only the Chinese stuff.

Boo hoo.
