Peacheaters at Firefly's on Sat night. Evidently these hotties dig the Bucket
This was a couple weekends ago, at a "Rock Star" themed local half-marathon. The leather jacket was part of the costume, as we are in fact a funk based band. Oh, I'm the one wearing glasses in case you didn't know.
Not the last gig, but this photo just popped up from a gig in late August. That's me in the back trying to figure out what the hell the bass player is trying to tell me.
^That looks like a fun gig @clayt0n .
What's the story?
You playing Schecter PT there bruv?
It's a ton of fun! We play a mix of 80s/90s keyboard heavy funk (Prince / The Time / etc, Cameo, P-Funk), more general R&B/soul (Chaka Khan, Mary J Blige, Gladys Knight), and a few soul/jazz "warm up" songs while the girls are off stage (mid era Earth Wind & Fire, Archie Bell & The Drells, Boogaloo Jones, Bobby Blue Bland)
The guitar is a beater of a Fender FMT telecaster. Carvin H22T in the bridge, Duncan JB in the neck, and a unity gain buffer stuffed in the cavity. THe FMT series is the holy grail of asian made Fenders in my opinion
Halloween party at Hardtail's in Round Rock TX last Saturday night. I'm the Buckethead guy on the left.
. Aged. So much that it's green. See thread in Guitars General.
Pelham blue aged to green is one of my favorite guitar colors. Awesome man
More Bucket - I love it!
I'd guess that at our show less than 25% of the people actually knew who Buckethead is. But many of them told me how severely creeped out they were by the costume.
I got some good comments about mine from people who actually knew who he was. On the other hand, when they did the Halloween costume contest, the lady referred to me as "Mr. KFC".
Those are official licensed by Devo name brand hats, totally worth every penny..
We played "Whip It" like 4 times that night.
Last Thursday, 2 Nov. Playing the 1991 LP Custom, with the 2009 '08 Standard on the stand.

Ha! That brings me back!
Almost 30 years ago, I worked on the Devo crew, pretty much the last tour before the initial break-up of the band.
Two or three gigs in, a fan in the front row swiped Mark Mothersbaugh's hat (they're officially called Energy Domes BTW).
How many spare Energy Domes did we have with us on the tour?
Thanks for bringing all the Spudboy memories back
John & Peters, New Hope Pa last night.
nothing wrong with that pic
