Here are my three:
Bolt strat clone that I built from a kit:
Bass that I also built from a kit:
Holdsworth H2 that I bought used last year:
Here's Mine...Koa Body and Neck (the Only one ever made like this)
Can't find any without me in them.
I've owned a few over the years, but the only one I still own is one I built from a Carvin set-neck kit in the mid 80's. Flame maple body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, schaller fine tuning tailpiece.
When the CT series first came out I had a CT3, but ultimately I didn't vibe with it, returned it, and bought my 20th Anniversary PRS instead.
I've got me a AE185-12L and love it!
Unfortunately, every single time I try to take a picture of this, it always ends up horrible. Regardless, here's my dragonburst C66. It's my poor-mans Anderson Drop Top, and it plays just as good as the Andersons I've played (in my opinion, of course)!
Here are my two. The first was on display at the 2006 NAMM show, and I fell in love with it.
This one was built for Howard Leese of Heart in 1985.
I don't know if you know this... but I'm 1/2 of the responsible party for the Dragon-Burst finish.
I used to hang on the Carvin board all the time... and one of the members couldn't decide between blue or green for his new 7 string. So I said "do both" and photoshopped a blue quilt guitar with green burst edges. I meant it as a joke, but he kinda liked it and asked me to reverse the colors.
I did that in photoshop... and we then realized there were other blue bursted green guitars on the market, so it wasn't THAT outrageous. He sent my photoshop in to use as a guide for the paint shop, and his "Trogdor" 7 string was born.
From that point on, the board really took to the "Dragonburst" finish until it became an optional color.
Truthfully, it's still too odd for me, because I like natural wood finishes, but I think it's kinda cool that it's caught on and all these people now dig something that was originally a photoshop joke.
I just have one.
Have to share mine. One of the 1st CT4s made (my dad may have picked up the first...) and the only one AFIAK that has the direct-mount pickups. Carvin screwed up and put inlays on the fingerboard (I didn't want any) but the guitar is killer and that wasn't worth quibbling over. Best split-coil sound I've heard.
Already sold, but with love and to a TGP member
Here's mine...hopefully the link/pic works!
DC135 - I just got it yesterday from TGP member VictoriluxEL84.
Thanks for the Great Guitar. My first Carvin and definitely won't be my last.
