Wish there was an "upload file" option on your post here like on every other forum....

Ask your doctor if lobotomy is for you.
I thought you could if you were a paying member.

No idea, I used to be a paying member here but could not justify the $ for the expenditure..

Supporting members can do it directly. Otherwise use a hosting site like Imgur.

I thought that for a while, but for $12 a year to support the forum that I use regularly it is pretty reasonable. A buck a month just to get rid of the banner ads was a win for me.

You have to have someone host the pictures and link them to the forums.

    imgur.com is a great place.

agreed! talkbass (using the same software) has that button and it works effortlessly. it's been a couple years now since the great changeover and i think it's time for TGP to fix this
    not really.

as a supporting member myself, i have access to an arcane and cumbersome "add media" process that requires leaving the page with the thread you're trying to post in, taking more steps than uploading a pic to a third party hosting site and linking it into your post! as far as i can tell it's like a third-party hosting site attached directly to TGP.

on top of that, unless you figure out the trick of "copy image"-ing the pic after you're jumped through all the hoops to get it loaded into the TGP "media" thing and saved it and then clicked on it directly, your post gets an ugly pic with a bunch of extraneous text both above and below it

Every other forum room has a direct file upload feature for everyone.....Makes the forums a lot more in depth and fun due to being able to post pictures easily. Many times I was going to comment with an informative picture and then....nope....
