I need to replace a couple of pots on my '74 Fender Twin - can you recommend who makes really good quality replacements, and give me the spec for exactly what I need? - the main culprit is the the mid tone pot.

I've looked on a couple of websites (Mouser & Alpha) and haven't really got a clue what I want or where I can get them (most seem to have minimum order numbers).

The Alpha 24mm range with 3/8" bush are close to the originals.
    Try

    and search for
    R-V38-A
The standard mid pot is 10k audio taper.
I don't find any setting below 7 is much use with those, so prefer 10k linear for a clean channel.
For overdrive, eg where you turn a 10k control up to max and want more mids, I find 50k audio taper better. Pete.
