So I just got a Whitney Wrockcrusher. Purportedly only 22 watts but it's insanely loud. I mean, turn it to 3 melt your ears loud. but it sounds great. What type of variac, power soak etc can i use that won't blow it up and retains the tone.

    Thanks.

If you need a lot of attenuation then re-ampers (Unleash or Ultimate) might be the best option for you.

DR Z has some good attenuators. Check Weber VST for the Mini Mass

Soldano/Jet City Jettenuator is one of the best bangs for the buck, currently.

    This^

It's the most transparent attenuator/reamper I've ever played and I've tried a bunch of them. And delivery is pretty quick now (it took a while after they were announced to get stock in the pipeline but I ordered mine on Sunday and got my "it's available" confirmation today!
