    A long time ago...

I read you could remove a rectifier tube and a power tube to decrease the head room of a push-pull amp... like a tweed twin. Is that right? Does it matter which tube you remove?

    THanks much

With an amp like that, people would remove either rectifier (they're parallel) or one pair of output tubes- inner OR outer. Removing the rectifier increases sag while removing the output tubes reduces power, but not sag. The bias should be checked, in either case.
