powerbook on top of glyph drive

    is it safe to put a powerbook g4 1.67 ghz on top of a glyph drive? The PB gets pretty hot which concerns me.

    of course there are other options....but it would save a lot of room.

    I dunno - I try not to keep components like that too close together. I'd rather not find out.

    They're both fan cooled, aren't they? The mac is, at least. It shouldn't be a problem. Might not be the prettiest setup though.

    The powerbook is designed to dissipate heat from the base, so it's probably not the best option.

    I would NOT stack them. They do both have fans, but the fans are designed to cool them in relatively normal conditions, not when another hot machine is set on top or underneath. If you value your data, get something to separate them. You could take the risk, but why...

    I have one of those, it works great if you have a Bluetooth or USB keyboard/mouse attached.

    yup didn't stack em. the glyph is next to the laptop. plenty of room.
