    Hey friends:

We want to have a space so we can do a weekly practice session with In-Ear monitors. No mains-no FOH, just a practice space to work on arrangements etc.
Wanting to add an x32 and use the outs to send direct to individual headphone amps.We have live drums and amps to mic and mix into the board as well.

    Anyone have experience doing this?
    Ideas? Pros/Cons?

    Thanks

How many people are you providing individual mixes for?

Get the X-32 Rack. Portable, and powerful.

seems overkill for the job to me. A smaller mixer would work better.

Plus you'll need headphone amps or something for the outs.

Any old analog board with enough FX sends should do.

You can pick up a DL1608 in the $500/$600 range now. Six aux outs with full PEQ/GEQ and processing, and small.

8 outs is why we were looking here, plus another boars for offsite use as well.
The app capability for each person to mix their own headphone mix is pretty attractive too.

We have 8 headphone amps ready to go!

Have you considered the XR18? With mains and 6 aux outs, it can do 4 stereo mixes.

If you're just looking for something for rehearsing, the JamHub might be a cost-effective alternative.
