Can someone tell me or tell me how to determine which tube slot is V1, V2, V3, V4, etc (and PI if it has one) preamp tubes for my Reeves(Hiwatt) Studio Stage MK II head?

The amp from the back (left to right is...):

    12ax7, 12at7, 12ax7, 12ax7

    It's got 4 EL84's (switchable 20-40 watts) and reverb.

    Thanks.

I emailed Bill Jansen at Reeves Amps yesterday with a similar question and he got back t me within a couple of hours. Get in touch with him and he will be able to help you. Chris

Yeah, I've emailed him a couple of times now and haven't received a response yet. He's usually pretty good about getting back to me. It would be nice to talk with others that have experimented with my amp though.

I recently replaced my EH 12ax7's and 12at7 with Tung Sol 12ax7's and an NOS Mullard 12at7. There was a dramatic improvement in tone, but I am considering putting one or 2 NOS 12ax7's in the most important spot(s). :dude
