I found a used Marshall 1960a 4x12 cab locally. Described as like new cosmetic condition. $450.

eBay shows them in various condition going for various prices. New price seems to be about $700-$750.

I guess this sounds like I've answered my own question, BUT: this one has the G12T75s removed and replaced with Eminence Wizards. This is described as an upgrade but I am not familiar with that speaker. What do you think?

I would still think $450 sounds like a good ballpark on that cab. 1960As don't go for to much really.

Cool, thanks. Seems to me I've seen Marshall cabs for $300-$350 but I don't remember what they were. I will do some research on those Wizards since I'm not really sure what they do ...

Sorry to bring this up again but ...

8 month old Marshall 1960 B (straight front) cab. I think it says "JCM 900" on the little badge. No casters. Celestion G12T-75 speakers. Looks and sounds good. Is $300 an excellent price?

Get the cab with the wizzards. Far better speakers than current gt75's.

Thanks for the advice. Even for $150 more?

BTW, if you're Tim, thanks for some of the best pedals I've ever owned.

I have seen them from 300 to 1000 - depends almost entirely on what speakers are inside.

Yeah, I haven't opened it up but this one's stock so I think that means G12T-75s. Did these ever come with V30s?

Not without calling changing the model to 1960av or bv (at least the more recent production.

Yes, as long as it's in good shape.

I thought that sounded pretty good. This isn't one of those MG or MA cabs or whatever.

I'm picking up a 1960a cab today for $425. About four years old, but flawless. Has the original G12T-75 speakers, but are the UK manufactured - not Chinese. Is there a market for these used?

4x12s are pretty cheap these days. most guys are using combos or smaller cabs for gigging.

one of my fave local used gear shops has half a dozen marshall 4x12s around, and they can't sell them.

$350-$400 is about right for most garden variety marshall 4x12s.

vintage 70s models with greenbacks are gonna be more expensive....
