Seems like it would be a cool video, but I cant get it to buffer worth a damn, I have had it sitting for 10 minutes and only about a 1:30 has buffered.

According to Kevin Smith he has a vault full of fully produced unreleased videos, concerts, albums etc. someday maybe we will get to see some of it.

I love the song, but the rhythm guitar seems very much out of tune, unless it's the vibe effect doing it (OTHER than the rotation, that is, it seems like it would be out of tune even dry).

    Oh, and that, solo....so incredible.

I think it's a combination of guitar effects and (mostly) screwed up audio from a (physically) wobbly video tape recording. Remember that videotape was analog data recorded onto a device with moving plastic parts. If the recording or playback device's motor slows down or speeds up during recording or playback, you'll get that (or other) effect(s). Plus, if the tape is old, it will do that, as well.

Nice post, what a talent. I hadn't thought of this before now but i feel a Hendrix vibe coming through the song. I like it this way, paired down to its essence...

That makes sense, thanks for the post :)

I do love this video, and the commentary is extremely informative.

Prince is just an amazing artist.

The playback format of this particular video p*sses me off. Every time I try to click somewhere on the timeline, it starts over at the beginning. You have no choice but to watch it all the way through from the beginning every time you watch it.
