If you hypothetically are only allowed a Princeton Reverb and two pedals, what would they be?

For me, Analogman Sunface into a Jetter Helium

Friedman BE-OD Deluxe and Strymon Dig. And I'd want the 68 Custom Princeton.

Depends on the gig/purpose. I'm thinking most situations for me would be covered by my old Honey Bee and a tuner.

Today it would be a Black Spiral and DOD Rubberneck.

Ask again tomorrow and I’ll probably have a different answer.

I played a number of gigs with a Princeton Reverb earlier this year when my main amp was in the shop... If I could only use two pedals it would have to be a mild boost and a more dirty boost. The Princeton Reverb didn't have enough dirt on board for me a lot of the time. My board is pretty small though... Carbon Copy, Corona chorus, EP Boost, Direct Drive, Tuner, and a wah. With the Princeton I ended up leaving the EP Boost on 90% of the time.

I may have a more magical combination waiting to be found in my effects closet, but for a simple two pedal rig I have yet to find a better match than the Mythical Overdrive into the Subdecay Echobox. Like peanut butter and jelly. If I'm limited to just two effects, that pair has delivered for most everything I have thrown at it.

A good Wah pedal and a Barber GC. The Princeton has a good trem and verb. I’d just ride my volume, tone and pickup selector at the axe. Endless possibilities. However, 2 pedals will never happen on my watch. Lol
