Right then, after 6 years on these boards I thought it was high time I actually bought another guitar. So I have. It's a Probett Rocket III and it'll be blummin' fantastic when it arrives at some point next year.

As irritating as this will be for some of you I shall be keeping the specs a little bit quiet until I have it. But just to give you some idea I've gone for three P90 size pickups, the switch + two controls rear mounted Tele layout and a solid colour.

Damian has been exceptional to deal with and I cannot believe how much of a bargain these guitars are!

No real point to this thread, I'm just very VERY excited about this.

Also, he let me know that the Tele shaped version (all other details/options the same as the Rocket III) called the Meteor (fantastic name) is ready to rock and roll. So if you're looking for a shorter scale Tele shape guitar with all the functionality of the Rockett, crack on!

Does he plan to do a Meteor '59?

Congrats @j.s.tonehound, awesome! I`ve also just ordered a guitar from him, the first tele shaped version :)
And yes, Damian has been super-helpful, what a great guy!

I'm in for a R3 too! Light Korina body, 3 MOJO Gold Foils...should be amazing.

I would imagine one may very well be in the works but you'd better check in with Damian on that. I think he's got a few things on the board so keep your eyes peeled. The worse he can say is no and he's very diplomatic when he does!

Nice! I wasn't looking for a Tele shape when he mentioned it but I saw the design and it did make me hesitate! One way...

Excellent! That'll be very interesting to see and hear!

That'll be a great guitar I bet. Damian is a great cat, super builder - I'm sure you'll be totally stoked with it!

    Congrats, Dana O.

Glad he's finally getting his due. I've owned or played most of the big-name builders, and I rate my LSM (LP-type, which he no longer makes) up there with anything. Every time I play that guitar after a while away, I'm surprised how nice it is. At one point I fell for the hype and ordered a close to $10,000 replica to discover I preferred my Probett. My mistake for thinking because it's reasonably priced I might be missing something.

Cool! Any chance you might offer a little picking forearm relief as an option? Keep most of the perimeter upcurve, just flatten it at that point?

    Congrats on a build!
You are in for a treat!
Hope this is not a spam (forgive me and please delete this post if otherwise).
There is a post in Builders and Retailers forum where you can see new Rocket T shape.

    Cheers,
    Jaya

Looks like you're trying to link to a photo in your email account, it's not going to show up for us. You'll need to host it somewhere else (imgur.com is a good choice).
