Problem with the reverb in my amp loop

Hi,

I have a 2-channel amp, one channel is clean and the other one at the edge of breakup, both used at the same volume. There is a reverb pedal in the amp series loop. The problem I have is that the reverb is louder on the dirt channel than on the clean one. How come? Thank you.

Cheers

I think that's normal. I always use different reverb settings for clean and dirt, with dirt reverb being dialed back so it isn't as pronounced.

Have you tried running it in front with each channel?

I tested in the front and the channel difference is much less pronounced compared to the loop. Also the volume of the reverb (Neunaber Wet mono) is much higher. It does not sound so good in the loop, which is surprising...

Are you sure the channels are at the same volume? It could be a perceived volume thing, so the reverb pedal is getting hit harder so it's "reverberating" more.
