1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

All I need to do is get a nice setup and make sure the frets are crowned. This was my first project and I think it turned out ok.

That body wood isn't my taste, but I like the fretboard wood and the contoured back. I'll bet it feels solid and sounds great. Nice job, congrats!

That's really a sweet guitar. Can you provide details regarding the wood? It looks like a gangalo alves neck.

    Enjoy.

Nicely Done. I really like the contrasting neck wood. Not something you see everyday.

    Thanks guys.

It is a hollowbody alder Tele with a zebrawood top. I finished it with tung oil. About 6 or 7 coats with sanding in between. After that I used some super fine steel wool to take the shine off.

The neck is unfinished Indian Rosewood with a ebony board.
The pickups are Fralin vintage teles w/ a 4 way switch prewired from Acme guitar works. I think the two pickups in series is a really cool sound.

The neck plate was photo engraved by http://www.nygdesigns.com/ . The design is the art work from the Zen Guitar book.

It is a lot heavier then my PRS HB but that is because of the RW neck. I have never really liked the way I sound when playing single coils but this might change things.

Don't tell my wife but I am already thinking about my next project.

It sounds really blusey compared to my HBI. BTW I had no idea that you were a member here.

If anyone in the Philly area needs an amp tech shoot chandler an email. He changed out a pot on my 6545 and gave it a quick bias, He is a great guy and does great work.

His son is also a master pine wood derby car maker.:)
