What pickups do you have in yours, and what styles do/can you cover with it? What's the best neck pickup you've found to go with the 24 frets?

    Thanks!:AOK

My '89 had the original Standard T and B pups and a sweet switch. I've never had a desire to change them. Sweet, rich harmonics, etc.

I have had the HFS-VB, Dragon Is and IIs in other Cu and didn't care for them. McCarty pups were decent.

I like the PRS Artist pups in those. or good ol duncan 59's.

I have all mahogany versions now, 2 early 80s are stock and the third is a S/S/H version, I use the artist pup in the bridge on that one.

I like the Duncan JB in the bridge, 59 in the neck. Both with coil cuts.

Stock Vintage/HFS. I can go from rock to hard rock to metal with no problems.

I have Fralin HB's with coil taps in my cu24. It's an amazing combo.

Me too. I think they're a bit overboard for anything on the cleaner side.

Wcr Shredders in mine. I like them. I also loved the vintage bass in the neck. I think I'm the only one:confused:

    Tone,

they are only available through Rsrelics. They also have a set geared towards Prs guitars. They are called Black Magic.

I tried the Wcr Fillmore and Darkburst in the guitar as well. I like hard rock, and the Shredder is cool. The Darkburst and Fillmore were nice too.

Just depends on what sound you are going for.

I use a WCR Shredder in the bridge and a WCR Fillmore in mine. Probably one of, if not the best sounding and recording guitar I own. Especially cool in split coil mode as well.

Do you guys prefer Alnico ll or V with the woods these guitars use? Also, those of you who have replaced the HFS/VB, do you find the new pickups you chose brighter, or warmer than the HFS/VB? Would something like a Duncan 59 be brighter than the HFS?
