    first world problem here...
I have a Tremonti SE which has the headstock decal under the clear coats of finish.
The tremonti was considerably less than the Custom 22.

The REED in Paul Reed Smith came off of the headstock and I was a bit surprised to learn that for that guitar and in that price range the manufacturer is using a sticker.
I considered, maybe wrongly, the PRS Custom 22 to be a premium instrument.

I had played one at the dealer and while I inspected the headstock closely I would have never suspected the headstock decal on what is generally considered a higher end instrument to be basically a sticker.

I'm not mad, venting or ranting just wondering out loud in a thread.

Of course the guitar plays fine and sounds great, but a sticker on a $2.6k guitar...?

for 1K more you get crayon.

But seriously, my artist grade SC58 appears to be sterling silver. It looks and feels like real metal. Unsure, though. Don't want to mess around with it too much in fear that it might rub off.
