It's not red, it's their raspberry color.
It's also not far from a buddy of mine's purple custom 24.
Raspberry. It fades quite dramatically over the years. I should never have sold my CE-24 in that colour.
It could be Angry Larry.
It's a purple burst that's faded.
THose are two different guitars. The one on top looks like a 1995 10th anniversary. Raspberry and Angry Larry were not available then. Might be purple.
The CE-24 (or Custom 24) below is purple that has faded.
Nope. Raspberry was indeed available in the mid 90s. My CE was a 97, and the second picture is a dead ringer color-wise.
While we're on the subject, what is this called? I've been told that its darkburst and also been told its blackburst......
Raspberry or Purple that has faded. Many of the earlier Purple guitars would fade and become Raspberry. I had one in that color once.
Top one is Raspberry the other one is red.
The first looks like the old Black Cherry finish that has faded. A friend has one from the original run of McCarty's and has faded to almost that color. If you pull a pickup ring loose you can tell. The last one looks like a Blackburst. Wish i could find the pictures I had a early Whale Blue that faded to an almost white color, similar to the Denim color they had few years ago.
The bottom pic looks exactly like my first CU24 - it was a '92 (I think) in purple that faded to that color... in fact, looking at the mark on the lower curve of the horn, it could actually be my old guitar; I put a pretty significant chip in mine through the binding on that edge and had it repaired and it kind of looks like that's the case with this one...
look under bridge pickup and it will have capmod number it will tell everything!
Top looks like raspberry
Bottom looks like faded purple
