    Mira too...

I don't much like the dots though... I wish they'd reduced the size when they went from Moons to blehboringmehwgafdots...

I like dots on old CE's though.

My Private Stock model would have clay dots, opaque top, and herringbone binding. No kidding. Just need the money.

I like my DGT with 10 top and moons. Not too bling but pretty tasty IMO

I like that guitar gassyndrome. I just need to find that DGT in black cherry.

DGT no 10 top / moons is fine with me. Never looked back. Great instrument.

I like the birds. I think they look pretty cool. 10 Tops look pretty nice as do the various fancy woods/finishes I see from PRS.

That said, I'm in the market for a McCarty, and I'm thinking I should just get a plain top with dots. All the 594s I've seen have fancy tops and birds. They do look nice with birds and fancy tops - I'm starting to feel like it's not worth all the extra money.

    That inlay is HIDEOUS!
And what's with the missing binding on the lower horn?

    Sheesh.....damned summer help.

To my knowledge, PRS always skips the binding in the treble side horn.

Can't say I disagree about the inlay, though. Looks like something they'd hang in a cheap Chinese restaraunt downtown. I'm sure it costs a pretty penny and takes a lot of skill to make, but I'm not so into it.

Just checked some others out and you're right.
I guess it's because the maple is very thick right there and must look odd to have "binding".

    Perfectly put!

For me, DGTs look better with moons. All other PRSs = birds. Weird, I know.

Just for the record (and the post count:p), my opinions have not changed on this topic despite having a 1 on 1 discussion with PRSh at Dave's Guitar's recently.

My sense was he doesn't really care about the inlays other than that they are well done whatever they are but he has found the birds outsell the moons by a wide margin.

What's weird is while I have no problem with moons or dots on most PRS, but I do have a problem with them on Singlecuts. I think it's a hold over from my prejudices about those other guitars it's modeled after.

I had a 1990 PRS Custom for sale for ages. The overall reactions were "too bad it hasn't got birds".
Most people prefer birds on a PRS.
