Prs headstocks…..you can do it!

I just want to love prs, but every time I look at the headstock it makes me think of metal.

Fender and Gibson have multiple headstock shapes…….why can’t prs come up with a more traditional look for just a few of their more traditional body shapes??

Those great curves on a s2 mira or Starla, maybe a bigsby, and then a headstock that looks like it’ll cut you!

I know for every guy like me, there’s 100 prs fans that would not like a change. But I just think prs is missing out on a marketing segment. *rant over*

Hmmm metal? You think of heavy metal when you see a pink silver sky?

Can you show us any pictures of a dude in a black shirt, black jeans, black doc martins, long black hair, and sweatbands on the wrist with one of these heavy metal PRS guitars?

I get more hippie Santana vibes!

PRS has multiple heastocks too. The problem is you just don't like the PRS aesthetic. It's simply the way Paul designs, and you either like it or you don't. Though they are different, all Fenders have a unifying "look". Same with Jacksons. Same with Gibson. Same with EBMM, or Dean, or Suhr, on any other builder.

The sentiment in the OP is akin to saying "I would really like a Van Gogh or Monet to hang in my living room, but I just wish their paintings were more realistic."

I'm not a big fan of the PRS but at least the string path is fairly straight as compared to the typical Gibson head stock which I really don't like at all.

I think after you spend an amount of time with a headstock you just kinda get used to it.

I used to love the Gibson one back in the day when I was still playing them, but yeah, I look at them now and they don’t make sense.

In fairness there is a contingency of prog metal players really into PRS, and they also have the radio butt.. er I mean hard rock market cornered

But nearly every jam band also plays PRS so the hippie vibe aint wrong
