You take yourself way too seriously, and you are way off base. I never said anything about marketing machines etc.... I talked about people who try to tell people what is cool, while they are constantly posing and thinking about their own overly contrived image.

Meanwhile your above post about Guitar World is really at odds with your mention of marketing to retarded teenagers. The target audience of Guitar World is seemingly the young metal and rock community, and the magazine is mostly ads for gear that appeals to that group. Hmm, I think you might be one of the retarded metalhead teenagers that you mentioned in your own post....

I told you that that we should agree to disagree, but you could not let it go. Enough.

    I've never liked PRS.
I think they look lame with all their flamey tops and blingy fretboards.

what's not awesome about seeing tremonti or santana tearing it up on their PRS with a gorgeous flame top and having the best tone at what they do?

Here's the 86 PRS I'm currently playing. It's got none of the lame things you mention. FWIW, I think most guitars are cool even if I'm not.

Sounds great, plays great, stays in tune, built like a tank...

    ... I don't care if it's cool or not.

    Gets the job done.

You're stoked! I just bought one and it is incredible.

Luckily I don't wear high heels or carry a purse so I am free to choose my guitars based on tone and build quality! :D

Yeah I have a question. Have you gotten a review like this about your playing in Guitar Player Magazine:

"..the Eau Claire, Wisconsin, native continues to make strong personal statements with his sophisticated harmonic sensibility, blistering chops and improvisational daring - qualities that come together in brilliant fashion on his latest release, Extra Mile, the guitarist's fourth recording overall and his debut for the new Nineteen-Eight Records label."
    - Guitar Player magazine

That's a review of your friend above.

And if the guy on top is backing Lady Gaga ... while the guy on the bottom is burning on some Scott Henderson flavored licks with overtones of Shawn Lane and Holdsworth and a touch of Django ....

yeah, how does that shoe leather taste?

like i said, i'm no PRS fanboi - but you're not throwing up the most convincing arguement. you'd have done better with a pic of Chad Kroeger, Mark Tremonti, Brad Delson...

    but, i'll submit cool:
