PRS "Metal" McCarty project

    A while back I purchased a McCarty Standard as a project guitar. I wanted to paint it with the colorchange paint in the old PRS Metal scheme. I also shaved the heel and neck and made it closer to a wide-thin.

    Well, after almost a year of working on it off and on, I'm finally at the buffing and polishing stage. I'm pretty happy with the results except for the headstock decal that shows the edge on certain angles. Of cousre it shows in my pic...

    wow, btw great polishing on that one I can almost see the hairs on the arm of the photographer :D

    Looks great. The purple hues look very similar to my 87 Metal Model that I sold a few years back. Nice job!

    Never heard of a PRS Metal series guitar but you did an outstanding job with that. Learning to paint is one of my goals.
