I've been reading some excellent reviews of these guitars. The newest to the SE line. I would love to hear any thoughts from anyone that may have played one or bought one as of recent. I thought about getting one via my MF card, but everytime I check they are out of them.

    Anyone?

    -Thanks

I snagged one of these right when they came out. I've owned 7 USA PRS SC's and they are my Fav. PRS model. When I heard about the import version I was skeptical but thought I'd give one a try and just ebay it if it didnt work out for me. Boy was I surprised! Killer guitar for the money. The fit, Finish, playability, and workmanship is flawless on mine. Some of the best craftsmanship I've ever seen on an import. I did have to set mine up when it arrived (action, intonation, and truss rod) and I also widened the nut slots a bit. I also through in some CTS pots and my fav. pickups. These are awesome!

Wally that looks sweet, and DrPCR, thanks for both reports. When I can pull it off I might have to pull the trigger on one.

    Steve,
The SE isnt going anywhere! sorry!

    David,
All of the SE series guitars have the wide fat neck.

The picture of mine shows it with zebra duncans that I already had laying around. I've since switched them to WCR Goodwood+/ Crossroads+ set. I just installed them today!

That's what I thought you would say. So I ordered one today. :D I've been on the fence for a while and this post pushed me right off. I do wish they were set up like the standard Singlecut with controls for each pup and the switch on the upper bout. I'll adjust I'm sure.

I love the wide fat neck on my PRS SE Soapbar II.
I was surprised to see it on a lower priced guitar though.
